Registration Requirements

A Registrable Property is any real property that:

  • Has been the subject of a foreclosure action and the mortgagee has taken title to the property (REO); or

  • Has been transferred to a mortgagee or affiliated entity via foreclosure sale or deed in lieu.

Registration

  • Registration is required within 10 days of the property becoming REO.

  • Each parcel requires a separate registration.

  • Registration information must be updated within 10 days of any change.

Renewal

  • Registrations must be renewed every six (6) months, measured from the initial foreclosure filing date.

Property Manager

  • If the property is vacant, a property manager must be designated.

  • A 24-hour contact telephone number is required.

Late fees

  • A late fee of 10% of the registration fee is added if the registration fee is not paid within 30 days of the start of the registration period.

Registration Requirements

In this jurisdiction, any owner of Vacant Property is required to register the property. Vacant Property is considered any parcel of land that contains any building or structure that is not occupied or inhabited. 

If an new owner purchases a vacant property, it need not be registered if the property will be occupied within 30 days.

Vacant Lots are not required to be registered.
